In 2009 Spike purchased local workwear brand Teesav. 2011 will see us bringing in Tapout and Silver Star MMA brands.
Our distribution network consists of 250 independent retailers nationwide which are serviced by one of our sales agents in each province. (Gauteng, Western Cape, Freestate and Kwa-Zulu Natal. We service sub-Saharan Africa as well incorporating Namibia, Mozambique, Swaziland, and Botswana.
Spike Apparel is a listed supplier and actively supplies most branded department stores in the country, one of which is Edgars who has 180 stores. Our brands have been introduced and managed to reach top status currently in their respective categories. The necessary infrastructure to service these customers has been established and we have dedicated personal as well as showrooms in close proximity to the respective buying offices across the country.
Our own retail is something that we actively participate in, with 7 of our own concept stores across the country showcasing the brands correctly. We also have a clearance store contribution of 3 stores. A strong association now exists between ourselves and the various property groups essential to getting key retail locations.
